Bird Advent calendar – Day 10 plus Badger

I thought I would have a bit of a struggle today as I only get half an hour after school before it gets dark to find a bird and photograph it.

I think I spotted H3 this morning as two Buzzards were sat in their tree but couldn’t get close enough to be sure.

Normal birds on the feeder this afternoon, Blue tits, Long tailed tits and luckily this Coal tit, which makes the Coal tit the bird for day 10.

This Coal tit always makes a little squeak has it leaves the safety of the rose bush to land on the feeder, it then grabs a mouthful of food and disappears.

I didn’t notice until I looked at the photos but this Blue tit has been ringed.

As much as I like birds I have missed blogging about my local Badgers during December, I still put the trail camera out most nights to see what they are up to.

Last night I put the trail camera in a different place to some of the areas I normally put it, but Cookie still managed to find it. It looks like he recognised the smell of it. Cookie is the Badger that has sat on my mums feet and is always the first badger to come out for food and will come the closest.

When I put the trail camera out no matter which other Badgers it films, Cookie will appear sometime during the night on camera.
